This Privacy Policy explains what information HelpDeskio ("we", "us") collects from you, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We aim to keep this short and human — if anything is unclear, get in touch.
1. Information we collect
We collect three categories of information:
- Account data — name, work email, company and any preferences you provide when you create an account or contact us.
- Usage data — anonymised analytics about how you use our site and product, used to improve performance and reliability.
- Customer data — content you or your customers send through HelpDeskio (tickets, attachments). We process this strictly on your behalf as a data processor.
2. How we use it
We use the information above to provide and improve the service, communicate with you about your account, send the occasional product update if you have opted in, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
3. Where data is stored
Account and usage data live in encrypted databases hosted with reputable cloud providers in the US and the EU. You can choose your data region at signup; Enterprise customers can request additional regions.
4. Cookies
We use a small set of strictly-necessary cookies (sign-in, security) and, with your consent, analytics cookies that help us understand which pages help and which fall flat. See our Cookie Policy for details.
5. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to certain processing. EU/UK and California residents have additional rights under GDPR, UK-GDPR and CCPA — those rights apply regardless of where you live.

6. Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active, then for a short period after closure so we can resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Usage analytics are aggregated and retained indefinitely; identifiers are removed after 13 months.
7. Children
HelpDeskio is a B2B product and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will notify account owners by email and post a notice at the top of this page at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
